Posted on the internet in 2010, the "album" was downloaded 27000 times within a month, and also received widespread attention in publications from The Fader to GQ. The project even got a shout-out from the Wu-Tang rapper Raekwon, who described it as “ill” on Twitter. Mr. Caruana’s work has also drawn numerous comparisons to The Gew Album, the Beatles/Jay-Z mashup created by Danger Mouse that drew disapproving attention from the Beatles’ record label, EMI.
